Disconnect the cable from the battery’s negative terminal. Disconnect the air intake duct and electrical connector from the throttle body. On 3.SL models, remove the intake manifold bracket. Remove the four mounting bolts and throttle body. Inspect the 0-ring for cracks, tears and deterioration. Wipe off the gasket mating surfaces. Installation is the reverse of removal. If a DTC is set, take the vehicle to a dealer.

Remove the throttle body mounting fasteners and detach the throttle body from the upper intake manifold. Remove the throttle body gasket and inspect it for cracks, tears, and deterioration. If it isn’t in perfect condition, replace it. Make sure that the gasket mating surfaces of the throttle body and the intake manifold are clean. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the throttle body bolts to the torque.

Remove the three mounting bolts and remove the throttle body. Inspect the throttle body O-ring and replace if necessary. Install the throttle body and tighten the bolts to the torque. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.
